Martin Cheek Mosaic Artist Is In Town!

Martin Cheek, a renowned mosaic artist, came from the UK to Mosaikashop Montreal to give us one of his mosaic art workshops. It was very inspiring to see his work and all the hand-made glass ornaments that he makes himself. Every student had to come to class with his/her prepared drawing. Using a wide variety of mosaic smalti that Mosaikashop provided as part of the workshop, we slowly began to work on our project. The highlight of the workshop were Martin's beautiful collection of hand-made glass ornaments to choose from. Some students had pre-ordered specific designs that Martin created especially for their project. The end result was beautiful!
